The SWISS Airlines around the world fare will take you to North America, Europe & Asia or vice versa. SWISS are officially rated as a 4* rated airline by Skytrax (source; airlinequality.com) and partner with several other airlines to offer a flexible and quality round the world for those looking for a basic/skeleton route with limited internal flights included.
Pricing: from $1760 plus taxes from $492 for travel to 3 continents!

Step 2) Fill in an enquiry form with your desired order of cities. Please note only internal travel in Europe can be included on this airfare. 1 flight to and 1 flight from Zurich is included.

Step 4) Contact your dedicated round the world consultant to massage your itinerary within the constraints of the airfare to your desires. All contact via email within 1 business day per contact. Don't waste time driving down to the travel agent when you can do it all from your computer.
Step 5) Confirm your trip & book in your itinerary. Make payment and print e-tickets. Your dedicated round the world consultant will help with any changes or alterations should they arise.

Backtracking
You are permitted to make your way overland between two points but cannot backtrack in the US. i.e. you cannot fly Sydney - New York // own arrangements to LA // LA - Zurich.
Travel Direction
You may choose to travel EAST or WEST without affecting the price.
Taxes
Taxes can range depending on your route. From price based on Melbourne - LA - Zurich - Hong Kong [transit only] - Melbourne for a total taxes of $492. Taxes can change at any time and are correct as at 4 Jan 2010. Taxes can be higher for other routes, particularly that use the side trip flights into Europe and additional stopovers. Enquire with your desired route for a detailed price.
Stopovers
Base price of $1760 plus taxes is for 2 stopovers, i.e. no stopover in Asia. A third stopover [second stop in Europe or a stop in Asia] will incur a $100 fee plus additional taxes.
NB - flying into one destination and out of another only counts as 1 stopover.
Changes
Minimum change fee is $135 per change subject to availability. Re-routing will incur additional taxes.
Route and Availability
Please note with some destinations an overland transfer must me made to meet up with an applicable Swiss Airlines flight. For travel from some Australian cities travel to Sydney or Melbourne may be necessary at an additional cost. Pricing is subject to availability, if the cheapest price isn't available for your desired dates the best available fare will be advised.
Some routes such as Cairo, Tel Aviv, Moscow and others attract a surcharge. Enquire for details. A full list of European destinations is available.
