How does the OneWorld round the world fare work?
OneWorld have 2 kinds of fares, one based on distance travelled and one based on continents visited. Unless you need to fly with Aer Lingus, Jetstar or Alaskan Airlines almost all itineraries can be done on the continent based airfares which are currently on sale.
The lead in price includes 4 continents for travel starting from Australia/South Pacific and continuing on to another 3 continents before returning to Australia.
Upgrade airfares to 5 and 6 continents are available.
What's Included?
In each continent you have an allowance of 4 internal flights except in North America where 6 are allowed, mostly due to the additional transits that are common in the US.
You can use these 4 internal flights on any OneWorld carrier. See our alliances page for a list of included airlines. When in Europe these internal fares must be to/from London, Madrid, Budapest and Helsinki. You can use 2 flights via one of these ports to get to your desired destination.
