Luggage Info
Luggage, it contains just about our whole existence when we are travelling. We seem to cram everything in we need for sometimes up to a year in a relatively small space. Well, for the shop-a-holics out there I am going to give you some very good news. Any around the world ticket which crosses North America [almost every ticket possible] is entitled to 2 bags. That's right, 2 bags not 1. The reason for this is any travel via North American airspace comes under the piece system instead of the normal 20kg limit and this supersedes all other rules for the entire journey. So, you can carry 2 x 23kg bags in economy and 2 x 32 kg bag in business and first class. So, if you get overseas and you bag is too heavy or you decide to bring back some extra shoes or handbags you can buy another bag to bring back with you.
In terms of luggage we tend to favor the soft bags over the hard cases but each to their own. Some of the best labels include Paklite, Samsonite, Antler and Caribee. Invest in quality baggage and you will find that the life of the suitcase or backpack is a lot longer. If you are a backpacker we suggest you buy from a reputable retailer who will fit your backpack for you. Also, a good pair or walking shoes is essential for most travelers.
