Virgin AustraliaEtihadSydneyBritish Airways

Introducing The House, one of the newest lounges at both Sydney and Melbourne airports, with a focus on your dining experience. The House is part of the British company No1 Lounges and is the Australian lounge for a number of different airlines including British Airways, Etihad and Virgin Australia. (You can also purchase entry either pre-booked online or at the door.)

Recently we visited The House while flying to Singapore from Sydney with British Airways, and were wowed by the attention to detail and the amazing hospitality experience. With multiple different lounge zones including a seated dining room, bar, shower suites and children’s zone.

We sat in the dining room where you could help yourself to an arrange of different options or order food from the menu to be prepared.

After the cheese board to start which was filled with an assortment of different cheeses, quince paste and walnuts, we then got to sample some of the delicious main meals. The meal was finished off with a delightful dessert platter with a selection of 3 different options to enjoy.

If you are looking for a quick meal the self serve food is also very extensive included hot meals as well as a range of different salad options and fresh pastries. Soft drinks, juice and water are also available here.

The on-site shower facilities are sleek and modern with warm wood finishes, with plenty of room to get organised. Luxury shower products are also available for use, including shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

The staff and attention to detail at The House are second to none and feels more like you are dining at a top restaurant rather than an airport lounge, while still enjoying all of the handy features including electrical power points and easy to read flight timetables.

The current lounge in Sydney will soon be starting a refurbishing process to expand the lounge to be across 2 levels.

Access to The House is available to business class passengers when flying through Sydney or Melbourne with British Airways, Etihad or Virgin Australia. To view, our current flight deals click here.
