Beer On Tap Served Onboard Lufthansa

Passengers onboard Lufthansa flights will enjoy fresh draft beer direct from a keg this September as the Airline celebrates Oktoberfest!

The airline celebrates Oktoberfest annually with events and festivities onboard including specialty meals, flight attendants wearing traditional Bavarian Costume and this year the return of the beer keg which were previously served inflight in the 1960s.

Passengers onboard the following flights will enjoy the Oktoberfest activities:

  • September 19 – Munich to New York
  • September 25 – Munich to Singapore
  • October 6 – Munich to Shanghai.

This is not the first time Lufthansa has served keg beer onboard. Business class passengers enjoyed freshly tapped beer inflight during Oktoberfest in the 1960s.

A specialty Oktoberfest menu will be also served to business class passengers on all intercontinental flights in September and October.

Additionally the Oktoberfest draft beer will be available in the Lufthansa business class and first class lounges at Munich Airport along with specialty Oktoberfest menus including pretzels, white sausage, and goulash soup. Prost!
